You must come here! Great food, people and vibe. Generous, oversized portions and lots of locally caught seafood. I had a 1/2 dozen locally caught oysters that were excellent! Naturally salty and creamy with a good bite. Then I had the humbly named “Seafood Platter” which should be called “The Ocean Org*sm” because it leaves you with a happy ending. Mounded with loads of fried seafood including 5 each of fried shrimp, scallops and oysters, clam strips, hushpuppies, a crab cake and a huge slab of fried flounder. Everything was perfectly fried and not overcooked, still moist and tender. I had no chance at finishing it and left with a good pound of leftovers so it was plenty for two. The fried oysters were the best I’ve ever had. They were huge and not cooked into hard nuggets but still pliable and tasty. If you visit Chincoteague, don’t miss this place!

The best seafood I've had in my life !! My wife and I recently visited the island for my birthday and Captain Zack's came highly recommended by the locals and can i say we were not disappointed! We ordered the Bloody Mary cocktail, oyster shooters, frog legs, fried shrimp and oysters on the half shell. We devoured all of it !!! We left stuffed and happy

We visited Captain Zack’s as a group of four adults and had a fantastic experience. The wait was about 30 minutes, but it was well worth it. We were seated at a cozy corner table inside with Adirondack chairs—such a nice touch that made it feel relaxed and welcoming. I ordered the crab cake platter with hushpuppies, broccoli, and green beans. Everything was absolutely delicious! My husband, who’s always claimed he doesn’t like crab cakes, tried a bite and completely changed his mind—he loved them. The flavors were fresh and well-seasoned. One of our friends had the scallop platter and was really impressed by the generous portion size. Another friend ordered the fried soft shell crabs and couldn’t stop raving about them. The pricing was very reasonable for the quality and amount of food, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was laid-back and perfect for a casual seafood dinner. Would absolutely recommend Captain Zack’s and look forward to coming back

First time here. Wow food was awesome! We had a wait of 40 min. But we went shopping till our time. Service was great too. Our group we definitely be back . Thanks

It’s our anniversary vacation and we were told this was a good place to eat. Talk about an underrated statement—this is an EXCELLENT place to eat. You will not go home hungry! Our server, Lisa, was fantastic and helpful. The blackened flounder tacos, fried flounder, onion rings, sweet potato fries sides, and hush puppies tasted incredible! Sides were quite large, enough to share. I ordered the gumbo, so flavorful. We have enough leftover to share for dinner! 10/10 will eat here again!

We had a great meal. Loved the seafood potato boats. Service was terrific. Our waitress gave us lots of information about what to see and places we should visit. Would come back again.

Fantastic food, great variety for everyone. Would highly recommend excellent service. It was extremely hot on the day we went and she kept our drinks filled until we left. Great portions as well. Wonderful!
